Great Get Together Summer 2019

Colleagues from the local Sainsbury’s branch came to help us set up the event. This was as part of their 150 year celebrations and they wanted to help local community causes.

There was music to suit all tastes, from the Remmingtons barbershop quartet, to which one of our members (Janet McPhail) belongs, the Calder Valley Youth Folk band (only their 2nd public appearance) and Scott “Hutch” Hutchinson with his rousing numbers. All culminating in an impromptu jam session with another of our plot holders, Steve, on bass guitar and the leader of the folk band on her fiddle!

Beer was provided by the local Nightjar Brewery, this went down very well indeed and we ran out… again!

The newly refurbished pizza oven was fired up and proved a great success!
